		Clisol Agro has a very long history in the Mediterranean Agriculture greenhouse sector. Agriculture renowned for its contribution to the economic and demographic growth of the province of Almeria over the past few decades, but also greatly condemned by many people and with a very different image of what it really is, its reality and, above all, its future. The tasks carried out by Clisol Agro is precisely to demystify all these incorrect beliefs by means of guided visits, during which we teach and show how the Almeria agriculture links the new technologies together with the traditional agricultural techniques, and experiences accumulated over more than 35 years. As a result, the agricultural practices optimise the use of natural resources to a maximum, and their main motivation is the conservation of the environment. In 1993 we started with this idea, setting up three very well defined objectives: 1) Inform the professionals and non-professionals of what greenhouse agriculture exploitation is, as well as the efficiency in the use of the natural resources characterising this protected horticulture. 2) Present and show an image of Almeria and its greenhouses as a modern agriculture, at the same time as being environmentally-friendly. 3) Work with different tourist and professional segments, as well as with schools, secondary schools and universities for them to, in a simple and entertaining way, become aware of the importance of our greenhouse agriculture and how we have to work and act in order to achieve healthy and natural produce. Our objective is to change the image of our agriculture, inform of the environmentally-friendly technological advances, all this with a clear ludic-cultural interest. Almeria’s "Sea of Plastic" is a supplementary tourist resource to the “sun and beach” offer. In this way we will bring together the two economic pillars of Almeria: Agriculture and Tourism.
